This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to services provided by Sim McKie’s Photography, a trading name of Pholux Collab Ltd.

Pholux Collab Ltd is the legal entity responsible for operating this business and processing bookings, payments, and refunds.

At Sim McKie’s Photography, we value your time and trust. To ensure clarity and professionalism, the following Refund & Cancellation Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds or rescheduling may apply for photography services.

1. Deposits & Booking Fees

In accordance with UK Consumer Law, clients booking online have a 14-day cooling-off period to cancel and receive a full refund, unless the photography session is scheduled to take place within those 14 days and the client has requested the service to begin.

  • All sessions (e.g., headshots, family portraits, weddings) require a non-refundable deposit to secure your booking.

  • This deposit covers initial time, planning, and loss of other potential bookings.

2. Cancellations & Refunds

Client-Initiated Cancellation

  • If you cancel at least 7 days before the session date, you may receive a partial refund (excluding the deposit), or you may reschedule at no extra charge (one-time reschedule only).

  • Cancellations made less than 7 days before the session will not be eligible for a refund. However, rescheduling may be offered at the discretion of Pholux Collab Ltd.

No-Show

  • Clients who do not arrive or are more than 30 minutes late without prior notice will be considered a no-show and forfeit any fees paid.

3. Rescheduling

  • You may reschedule once without penalty if notice is given 72 hours or more in advance.

  • Further rescheduling requests may incur a fee.

  • For weather-dependent outdoor shoots, Pholux Collab Ltd may suggest rescheduling if conditions compromise quality.

4. Service Provider Cancellations

  • In the event the assigned photographer is unable to attend (e.g., illness), Pholux Collab Ltd will make every effort to provide a qualified replacement. If a replacement cannot be found, a full refund or free reschedule will be offered.

  • Alternatively, you may choose to reschedule at no extra cost.

5. Digital Images and Edits

  • Due to the nature of digital photography, all delivered images are non-refundable once edited and delivered.

  • If you are unsatisfied, please contact Pholux Collab Ltd within 7 days of receiving your gallery so Pholux Collab Ltd can address your concerns.

6. Weddings & Large Events

  • Wedding bookings require a separate contract, including specific cancellation terms.

  • Generally, weddings require at least 30 days’ notice for a partial refund.

  • Deposits for weddings are non-refundable under any circumstances.

7. Exceptional Circumstances

If a cancellation is due to exceptional circumstances such as a serious illness, bereavement, or emergency, Pholux Collab Ltd may offer a credit note or flexible rescheduling at its discretion.. Supporting evidence may be requested.

8. Delivery Timeframes & Satisfaction

  • Final edited images are typically delivered within 7–14 working days of the shoot unless otherwise agreed.

  • If delays occur, you will be notified.

  • While all care is taken to deliver high-quality results, Pholux Collab Ltd welcomes reasonable feedback and may make minor revisions where possible within 7 days of delivery.
